English Presbytery Holy Week Convention 2021: The Cross in Psalm 22-23
31 Mar, 1 and 2 Apr 2021 This year, the English Presbytery's Holy Week Convention will happen on 31 March, 1 and 2 April. The theme for this year's convention is the Cross in Psalm 22 & 23 and the newly elected Methodist Bishop, Dr Gordon Wong, will be expounding the two psalms in the context of the death of our Lord Jesus Christ. The convention will be held at Adam Road Presbyterian Church. Due to safety measures set in place, those who wish to attend the convention in-person at ARPC will have to reserve tickets via the link provided on the Holy Week Convention website. Ticket registration will only start on 6 March 2021, and is limited to 250 pax. The convention will be live-streamed, but the committee would like to encourage churches to organise the Good Friday service in their respective church premises, where the congregation can participate in the worship while watching the live stream. On Wednesday and Thursday nights, there will be a Q&A session after the sermon, whereby both the live and online audience are invited to post questions. A QR code will be provided for people to field their questions. As for the Good Friday service, there will be an online children's programme which parents can help their children to tune into from their homes after the worship segment. The worship leader will give parents the cue and the online programme can be accessed via the Holy Week Convention website. For more information, you may visit epholyweekconvention.org.
