Earlier this year, churches found themselves facing a situation they have never faced before, when doors of the church were forced shut as physical services ceased. Everything was forced to move online – virtual prayer meetings, Sunday services, fellowship sessions, etc. Pastors were recording sermons in their own homes, creating home-made videos, worship became more of an individual karaoke; for those digitally not so savvy, it was a huge learning curve – it was a daunting task to create good sermon videos to continue to shepherd the congregation, without the right technical knowledge and resources.

Many churches were asking: How do we do online Sunday services? How do I record a good video, to edit a video? In what ways can I better communicate with the congregation online?

With regards to these questions that you may have, the Synod is organising a Livestream and Sermon Production Workshop on 9 December (Wednesday), 8PM via Zoom. The workshop aims to bring mainly those involved in the AV ministry in church together to have a dialogue, as well as sharing of knowledge and resources. Registration is free.
